The Fuel Store Card

Make DVSA checks part of the journey, with Driver Toolkit. Tick the boxes. Hit the road.
Driver Toolkit makes staying road-ready simple. A digital checklist makes vehicle checks simple, keeping your fleet DVSA-compliant and your drivers safe. The app helps spot safety issues early, sends real-time defect alerts, and gives you the info you need to stay ahead.
The DVSA also enforces vehicle safety standards. Complying with these standards requires fleet managers to focus on accident risk and safety management, vehicle maintenance, and driver training and behaviour. Those who fail to comply with DVSA regulations may face fines, penalties, and reputational damage. Health and safety is also a huge incentive to remain compliant.
Traditionally, vehicle checks are completed on an occasional basis with the information being recorded on paper forms or in a paper logbook. Although this process meets some of the DVSA requirements, there is a risk that paper based checks could be missed, lost or forgotten.
Digital vehicle checks help fleet managers to be more proactive. Checks can be recorded, reported and acted upon quickly. Copies of paperwork can also be produced with ease, if required.
Drivers have a personal responsibility to ensure the vehicle is safe before driving. This can be achieved by conducting regular walkaround safety checks which cover the condition of their tyres, brakes, steering, lights, indicators, and hazard warning lights. The checks should cover all areas of the vehicle, including the trailer if the vehicle is towing one. Results of the checks should be recorded, defects or faults must be reported, and any necessary repairs undertaken before the vehicle is driven.
Fleet managers and/or business operators have a legal responsibility to make sure their drivers comply. The Driver Toolkit simplifies compliance and enables fleet managers to meet this requirement, and record data, with minimum effort.
